I was in charge of producing all product packaging (2022-2024), from the UK version to the US and the Middle East. Working closely with the compliance team and leveraging my understanding of REFY's brand visuals, I helped launch numerous exquisite packaging templates to adapt to different regional releases. This contributed to REFY's gradual emergence as a global brand.
DESIGNING PRODUCT PACKAGING WITH ATTENTION TO DETAIL AND BRAND CONSISTENCY

My role also included creating designs for PR products. The focus of packaging and PR might be on different audiences, but the main goal is similar: using the product and its packaging to make the brand stick in the minds of consumers, creating memorable experiences that reinforce the brand's image.

When I first joined REFY, although the brand's packaging style was already established, there were many details that needed refinement. As the first designer to join the team, I noticed several inconsistencies in previous packaging, like varying font sizes, incorrect logo proportions, and excessive spacing. These issues stemmed from the lack of a standardized brand artwork guidebook. After familiarizing myself with the packaging of all existing products, I began creating the REFY Artwork Bible to address these inconsistencies.

By establishing standards for font usage, element sizing and arrangement, as well as spacing, I successfully completed REFY's brand packaging guidebook. I then shared it with the entire team to familiarize them with our packaging standards. The guidebook underwent multiple revisions to meet the compliance needs of different global markets, incorporating the specific requirements of the EU, UK, and US. With this artwork guidebook in place, our team's efficiency in designing and producing packaging significantly improved, smoothly facilitating the brand's entry into various regional markets.
In actual packaging projects at REFY, the use of creativity is more restrained compared to other types of projects, but there is a heightened focus on detail control. We meticulously compare the visual impact of new packaging alongside existing products on shelves. This involves using paper models to determine the optimal size for the logo and placement of various compliance texts. Once every detail has been thoroughly considered, we proceed to contact suppliers to produce samples.
